Spanish and European champions FC Barcelona are stepping up their pursuit of Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas this week.
The Mail on Sunday reported that Barcelona hope to arrange a face-to-face meeting with Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis and manager Arsene Wenger in London this week to secure the transfer of Fabregas.
Club directors Josep Maria Bartomeu and Andoni Zubizarreta have been delegated to negotiate the purchase of the player who is Barca coach Pep Guardiola's No 1 summer target.
Spanish sources say Barca tried to schedule talks with Wenger last week, but he refused to return early from his holiday in France.
