Nwankwo Christian Nwosu Kanu or better known as Nwanko Kanu was signed by Arsenal for approximately £4.15 million.
Kanu has won a UEFA Champions League medal, a UEFA Cup medal, three FA Cup Winners Medals and two African Player of the Year awards amongst others. He is also one of few players to have won the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Cup and an Olympic Gold Medal.
In all he played 197 games for Arsenal (nearly half of them as a substitute), scoring 44 goals and in 2008 Kanu was voted 13th in the "Gunners' Greatest 50 Players" poll.
