It has been revealed that Arsenal are interested in Millwall midfielder Liam Trotter.

The People revealed that Arsene Wenger is keeping tabs on Millwall’s powerful midfielder Trotter.

Wenger’s ace talent-spotter Pat Holland saw him net his second goal of the season in the Lions’ 2-2 home draw with Peterborough in midweek.

Juventus Approach Arsenal For Andrey Arshavin

Italian giants Juventus have reportedly asked Arsenal to name their price for Andrey Arshavin.

The People revealed that the Turin giants are making a late summer market move for the Russia international.

New Juve coach Antonio Conte has concerns over his midfield's creativity and feels the addition of Arshavin would fit the bill.

Arshavin insists he's happy at Arsenal, though is waiting to open new contract talks.

Arsenal Keeping Tabs On NYRB Defender Tim Ream

New York Red Bulls have confirmed that Arsenal is interested in signing defender Tim Ream.

The 23 year-old USA international is already the subject of a bid from the Gunners, according to some sources.

“They are following Tim regularly and have done for a while, and they have told me the same,” Erik Soler, the Red Bulls’ general manager and sporting director, told the New York Times.

“We have not had an offer for Tim, and my personal opinion is that he should stay here this season and next,” Soler said. “It would be good for him.”

Cesc Fabregas On The Verge Of Joining Barcelona

It has been revealed that Cesc Fabregas is clearing out his locker at Arsenal as he prepares to return to Barcelona.

The Sun has reported that he will have to fork out £4.5million from his own pocket to do it.

The Gunners are set to agree a £35.9m fee with Barcelona - plus add-ons - should Fabregas win major tournaments.

However the fee also includes £900,000 a year which Fabregas has agreed to pay Arsenal out of his own wages over the next five years of his Barca contract.

All that remains is for Fabregas, 24, to thrash out personal terms to bring to an end a three-year saga.

And last night he returned to the London Colney training ground to clear out his locker.

Per Mertesacker Linked With A Move To Arsenal

It has been revealed that Arsenal are closely monitoring Werder Bremen's announcement that they are willing to listen to offers for captain Per Mertesacker.

The German international defender has entered the final year of his contract at Bremen.

Having struggled to meet valuations of Everton's Phil Jagielka and Blackburn's Chris Samba, Arsene Wenger could snap up a £6m bargain for Mertesacker.

Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs is quoted as saying in The People: "We are willing to discuss a transfer for Per.

"We have promised him we will listen to serious offers."

Cesc Fabregas Given Warm Reception By Fans During Member's Day

Cesc Fabregas was welcomed by Arsenal fans during yesterday's members' day.

Fabregas could have been forgiven for expecting a frosty reception as he took to the pitch with the rest of his Gunners team-mates for an open training session at the Emirates Stadium.

But there were no jeers for the 24-year-old, despite his apparent desire to quit the club for Barcelona, although things might have been different had Arsenal decided upon their usual roll call as the players entered the field.

Heavy rain also forced the club to postpone their official team photo, which may ultimately spare them being left with one that includes Fabregas were he to leave.

However, PA Sport says both Fabregas and contract rebel Samir Nasri are understood to have posed for annual in-house photos and videos on Thursday as well as completing the usual pre-season pictures for other media outlets.

Cesc Fabregas To Play Key Role In Jose Rodriguez Signing

It has been revealed that Cesc Fabregas is involved in Arsenal's move for Real Madrid striker Jose Rodriguez.

The London Evening Standard has reported that the Arsenal captain is understood to have advised Real Madrid's teenage star Rodriguez to join the Gunners.

It is believed manager Arsene Wenger has already spoken to the 16-year-old's parents regarding a move after showing him around the club and their London Colney training complex.

Madrid are believed to have made a counter-offer of a professional contract when he turns 17 in December but Wenger is confident he can persuade the midfielder, who was named Player of the Tournament at the recent Under-17 World Club Championship in Spain, to move to the Emirates.

Arsenal Want Fabregas, Nasri To Appear In Team Photo

It has been revealed that Arsenal will include Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas in their team photo for the new season.

According to The Sun, the midfield pair will be ordered to appear in Arsenal's official team photo tomorrow.

Fabregas and Nasri could be leaving but Arsenal also expect them to train in front of fans at the Emirates as it is members' day.

Some clubs leave want-away players out of their team pictures or take two snaps - one with them in and one without them.

But Barcelona target Fabregas and Nasri, who is wanted by Manchester City, will be told that as long as they are at the Emirates they must be in the photo.

Arsene Wenger has admitted that new signing Carl Jenkinson has impressed him in preseason.

The 19 year old centre back arrived from Charlton Athletic in the summer.

"You feel there is much more to come from this boy and I think he will be a very good player."

Jack Wilshere Wants Arsenal To Buy More Players

Jack Wilshere has pleaded with manager Arsene Wenger to strengthen the squad before the summer market shuts.

The England international added to Wenger’s problems by insisting that more reinforcements are needed to complement the £10.5million arrival of Gervinho.

"We are not a spending club but we still managed to stay up there with the top teams," he said. "And we have to win things this year.

"Maybe if we had a few more faces we could really push on. If we get a few more players we can really challenge for the title.

"Around March and April we have to stay really strong. We are confident we can be up and around it then so we have to remain strong at that crucial time."

Arsene Wenger Hits Out At Jeering Arsenal Fans

Arsene Wenger has hit out at home fans after their 1-1 draw with New York Red Bulls.

The Gunners' perennial frailties struck again and they conceded a late equaliser to surrender the trophy to the Red Bulls.

They were booed by their own fans at the final whistle, which did not bode well for the new season, who were forced to endure so much suffering last term.

Wenger chided them, saying: "I can understand they want us to win but I don't think we need to put any extra pressure on us now.

"The most important thing is to prepare and to take the pressure on when results really matter."

Arsene Wenger Unhappy With Ryo Miyaichi U-22 Call Up

Arsene Wenger is unhappy that he faces losing Ryo Miyaichi to an unusual U22 call-up by Japan.

Wenger was asked about the situation after their draw with New York Red Bulls.

He told arsenal.com: "We have now in football the Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20, Under-21, Under-22… soon we will create the Under-60 and we’ll have to let the players go.

"I think at some stage the clubs should be within in their rights to use their players because these competitions are organised when the season is already started. I think we have to become serious. Players under 20? You take our midfield from yesterday. Frimpong is 19, Ramsey is 20, and Wilshere is 19.

"They can now play in the World Cup Under-20, so we could be in a situation where we could lose our players and cannot even field our midfield. That’s where people inside the clubs raise questions about how we can continue to give a chance to young players if during the season they go away with the national teams."

Wenger : Thierry Henry Is Still Top Quality!

Arsene Wenger has paid tribute to Thierry Henry after their 1-1 draw with New York Red Bulls.

The French tactician said Henry displayed all his class in his performance against his old club.

"They say great clubs never die and it looks like great players never die. Thierry has shown us today that he is still top quality with his feet and with his head," Wenger told arsenal.com.

"With his head, I knew [he is still top quality], but with his feet I wasn’t sure. He still has good physical potential and has prepared exceptionally well for this game. I am very happy to have seen him today and he played a good game.
