Bolton Set 10-day Deadline For Arsenal To Make Gary Cahill Offer

It has been revealed that Bolton have given Arsenal a 10-day deadline to make a formal offer for defender Gary Cahill.

Arsenal have expressed their interest in the England international for some time now and the Trotters are believed to be getting frustrated with the non-committal of the Londoners.

According to Goal.com, Arsenal have offered youngsters Carlos Vela and Henri Lansbury as well as a fee for Cahill but Bolton just want £17million as soon as possible.

"Bolton want the deal done as soon as possible so they have plenty of time to make preparations for the new season without Cahill and formulate their transfer strategy," a source close to the negotiations said.

"Basically, they want it all sorted out by the end of next week and if it isn't, then they might close the door on any deal until the next window."
